Why buy an import frame from another store when we:

How Imports are Made - (Read this before purchasing an import frame.)

Yes, we do sell import frames, we have to in order to compete with all the other futon stores in town and nationwide. They are all made the same, and are not built with quality construction or materials, so we add extra legs on the front and back to make them stronger.

Imports are made in China, Canada, Indonesia, and the United States; but wherever they are made they are not high quality. Don't be fooled by the pretty arm style.

Other stores will not be so up front and honest about the quality of import futons, because that is all that they sell. Imports are not made well, and the only good thing about imports is their low cost.

Most are affordable, but there are some import futons that are expensive as well. These futons are mass produced and many corners are cut in their production to make them cheaper. From the quality of the wood to the amount of wood used to build a frame.

Most imported futons open from the front using a plastic roller in a wood track. The seat slants down, making it harder to get out of. Short people's feet won't touch the ground with most imported futons, and there are only two stretcher bars that are 1" x 2 3/4" holding the frame together. With no lip on the front, the futon mattress slides down.

The seat and back slats are stapled to the frame and are only 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" wide. You are also required to retighten the arm bolts when they loosen over time.

I have been in the futon business for 20 years, and have seen hundreds of broken imports.

Ask a friend if they have ever had a broken frame. I've had 2 customers break two different frames in my store just from sitting down on them. The front stretcher bar broke in half.

If you do decide to buy an import futon, buy it from us and we will fix it if it breaks.

We will also add extra legs on the front and back to make your import futon frame stronger.  We will also glue and screw the front and back stretcher bars to help keep the frame from loosening up while keeping the stretcher bars solid and straight.  The other futon stores DO NOT do this.  This is a free service.
